For the past 25 years there have been very few incentives, grants or rebates given to folks who install renewable energy systems o their homes, busninesses or properties. This is changing rapidly. 2009 has been better than any other year in Canadian history.

Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC) up to $1350 (15% of $9000)

For the 2009 tax year, all Canadian homeowners can claim a non-refundable tax credit on expenses incurred to renovate their homes including solar modules. The program begins on January 28, 2009 and ends January 31, 2010. This credit applies after you spend $1000 and only applies on the next $9000. For more info please click here....
