Midnite Solar MNBABYBOX
For many years the only DC breaker panel in
production was Trace Engineering's DC175 and
DC250. At the time, this was a great
DC box that had room for two large
inverter breakers as well as 4 smaller breakers
for inputs and outputs. It was huge at 21
inches high, 10½ inches wide and 5 inches
deep. But what about the application that only
required a few small DC breakers or the
application that did not have the 24" x 14" of
free wall space? The huge DC175/DC250 was not
practical for these situations but it was the
only thing we could use. Then came the
"BABYBOX" by Midnite
Solar...
The MNBABYBOX is a
revolutionary tiny DC (and AC) breaker
panel that is perfect for many small solar
systems or as an add-on to a larger
system. Incidentally, it was created by the
same person as Trace Engineering's
DC175/DC250...Robin Gudgel. When none of the
other manufacturers would take the time or
money required to make an inexpensive and tiny
breaker panel...Midnite Solar accepted
the challenge.
Now Midnite Solar is the world's
leading manufacturer and supplier of large
and small DC and AC breaker panels and power
distribution products including the
MNBABYBOX.
The MNBABYBOX is a perfect
solution for RVs, travel trailers,
boats, solar-powered signs, as well as any
other situation where four or less DC or
AC breakers are required.
The
MNBABYBOX accommodates
the same small din mount DC breakers
as Midnite Solar's MNDC, MNPV3,
MNPV6, MNPV12 and MNBIGBABY as well as
Outback Power Systems' PSPV, FWPV8 and FWPV12.
These breakers are called Midnite
Solar MNEPV or Outback Power System's
OBB-XX-150VDC-DIN DC breakers and are suitable
for DC inputs and outputs at up to 150 volts
DC.
The MNBABYBOX will
also work with the Midnite Solar MNEAC AC
breakers as well as any of the Outback
Power System's OBB-XX-120VAC-DIN or
OBB-XX-277VAC-DIN AC breakers.
It holds a total of four breakers and
includes a green screw for a ground. Oddly
enough, with all of the breaker knockouts
removed the MNBABYBOX will
hold three of the MNTS fuse holders for systems
that require voltages higher than 150
volts DC.
