Xantrex GJ250 Panel Mount 250 Amp DC Breaker
This style of 250 amp DC breaker is the most common we
sell. It is a panel mount 250 amp DC breaker
with lugs designed to accept from 6
AWG wire up to 4/0 battery cable.
This is the breaker used in Xantrex / Trace
Engineering's DC250 250 amp DC disconnect. It includes lugs (terminals) at each end of the
breaker making installation very simple. If you are purchasing this breaker to add to an Xantrex
DC250 you will need a rear mounting kit.
It can also be panel
mounted using two 8-32 bolts.
This 250 amp DC breaker is the most popular we sell
for do-it-yourself applications like electric cars and other large DC loads.

simply strip approximately 1" (2.5 cm) of insulation from the battery cable
end,
insert the cable into the lug,
and tighten the Allen screw with a 5/16" Allen wrench..

Panel Mount 250 Amp DC Breaker with 3/8" Stud
This style of 250 amp DC breaker is the second most common we
sell. It is a panel mount 250 amp DC breaker
with 3/8" studs
designed to accept a lug or terminal with a 3/8"
hole.
It can be panel mounted using two 8-32 bolts.
This is the breaker used in Outback Power Systems' FW250, FW500-DC
and FW1000-DC DC breaker enclosures as well as Midnite Solar' s MNDC250 DC disconnect. It includes
3/8" studs at each end of the breaker making installation
very simple.

remove the 3/8" nut and lock washer using a 5/8" (16mm) wrench or socket,
mount cable terminal to stud,
apply lock washer and nut,
and tighten nut using a 5/8" (16mm) wrench or socket.
